Toshiba’s new Excite X10 tablet is on its way and with it reportedly comes the title of Thinnest and Lightest 10-inch tablet measuring in at just 8mm thick.
Hardware-wise the Excite X10 isn’t skimping out. A 1.2GHz dual-core processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM should be enough to keep it in line with most of the competition for now, as will it’s shipping with Honeycomb 3.2. Although there is a chance we could see a release delay in order for Toshiba to upgrade that to Android 4.0.
The 10 inch screen boasts a resolution of 1280x800 and the 2MP front-camera with 5MP rear camera should get the average user by with no problems.
One of the things we’re most pleased about with the Toshiba Excite X10 is the name. It isn’t the Toshiba Excite X10 Plus Ultra, or the Toshiba Quantum Excite Plus 2, or any other questionably long variant you could think of. It’s nice to see a simple, short name once in a while that does what it needs and then just… stops.
How about you guys? Is anyone out there excited over the Excite, or are you waiting on another juicy piece of hardware?
