Google recently announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update would be rolling out to Google Nexus S devices over the course of the next month. That rollout has now apparently been put on hold in some areas while Google collects and monitors feedback.

Not to worry, the ICS update is apparently going to continue as scheduled, so if you haven’t received it yet it’s not yet time to start looking for bug fixes or related issues on geek forums.

The reason Google has paused the rollout in the meantime is that the update apparently won’t install for some users, but as yet no one is quite sure why. It makes sense that Google would want to fix this issue before moving ahead with the rest of the operation and with any luck it shouldn’t take very long to correct the problem.

So keep your eyes out for that update, it could be on its way to your Nexus S device sometime in the near future.
