In the lead up to Apple’s iPad 3 announcement we’re seeing a lot of fake “leaked info” crop up everywhere and, as such, we’re having to spend a bit more time searching for the good stuff than usual. During out digital travels we stumbled across an interesting video on BGR’s site featuring an obviously fake, yet very awesome future iPad “demonstration”.
The real iPad 3’s (or possibly iPad HD’s) screen is sure to still be rocking some kind of bezel or frame around it. You can also bet your bottom dollar that the next get of iPad won’t connect together to form some kind of uber-tablet. Nor will it boast projected interfaces out its sides or have 3D holographic projection support.
However, this is a cool indication of the kind of technology we could be seeing in ten or twenty years’ time (ten for the display and interface, twenty for the holograms). Of course by then we’ll have a lot of other new tech too, so it’s difficult to really accurately project what things will be like. For instance, in 2002 We wouldn’t have bet money that we’d be rocking dual-core 1.2GHz computers in our pockets with wireless broadband internet and capacitive touchscreens, but here we are.
It’s just nice to be reminded that there are creative and talented people in the concept-design industry who can think outside the box without breaking it. We definitely suggest watching the video, it’s quite short and very funky.
