HTC has received a huge boost in sales for the months of May and June over last year, with an over 100% boost in May and an 87.8% boost in June. The rapid growth can be attributed to HTC’s presence in the smartphone market, specifically with its line of Android smartphones.

With the HTC Desire taking on of the top 2 spots globally in the Android smartphone market last year coupled with HTC's strong presence in the US market it’s no wonder that sales have continued to grow. The HTC Desire HD followed soon after the Desire with an upgrade in specs and screen size, proceeded closely by some more specifically marketed devices such as the Android HTC Desire Z, 4G HTC Thunderbolt and an impressive Windows Phone line.

With its new global flagship phone – the HTC Sensation – about to launch globally HTC can expect to see its profits soar even higher, as the 1.2 GHz dual-core Sensation is sure to be lapped up by Android and HTC fans alike.

HTC’s success in the smartphone market is not only due to its range of hardware. The intuitive Sense user interface (UI) for the Android platform has made HTC quick a fan favourite in the mobile world. Continuous updates to Sense, as well as (comparatively) timely releases of Android updates has given HTC users a more than adequate reason to love and publicly recommend its devices.

We’d like to congratulate HTC for doing so well and we look forward to what we hope will be a burst of innovation and design that has been made possible by these record profits.
