With the ability to quickly link to an iPhone smartphone and unique features like Siri integration, Apple AirPods have quickly become a popular accessory for iPhone users. Only a couple months ago, Apple debuted their updated AirPods wireless earbuds. This new model brings modest updates like a faster processor for quicker response, hands-free Siri activation, 50% longer battery life and optional wireless charging case.
Rogers and Telus will help you get a set of second-generation AirPods for free ($220 value). The offer is only available when you sign up in-store, but each carrier has unique additional bonus offers when you do.
Free AirPods with Rogers
At any Rogers store, pick up any iPhone XS or XS Max model on a 2-year Premium+ or Ultra Tab Share Everything plan. You also need to sign up for Upfront Edge, which lets you pay less upfront for the phone and pay the balance at the end of your term (or simply return the device). For example, you save $300 now and pay only $159 down on the iPhone XS (64GB). You also choose from double data on 2.5GB or 6GB Share Everything plans.
Free AirPods with Telus
If you prefer Telus, you have more options as they'll let you choose from an iPhone XS, XS Max or iPhone XR. However, one requirement is you must also buy an Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4. All Apple Watches are available from $0 upfront with Telus Easy Payment. The iPhone XR is also available for $0 down. You can walk out of any Telus shop outfitted with a brand new iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods for $0 down.
Both promotional deals include AirPods with a charging case, but don't include wireless charging. Buying a wireless charging case is an additional $99, but if that's something you're interested in then see if you can talk the sales representative into upgrading your AirPods to a wireless set. The difference in price is then only $50.
