The cheapest iPhone in Canada is the iPhone SE (2022). Fido offers the cheapest price for the SE (2022), allowing you to snag the phone for around $579 upfront. You may also find it cheaper from carriers or retailers.
We've looked at every carrier and outlined below how to get the cheapest price on any new iPhone with every carrier. Even if you're looking at an Android smartphone the plans and discounts are the same, so our guide will help you find the cheapest price for any device.
Cheapest Carrier in Canada
There are more than a dozen carriers across Canada. Some compete closely with one another, others create unique and innovative ways for you to buy the newest smartphone every year. Every carrier has their cheapest overall price on an iPhone, but who is the cheapest overall?
Fido
Typically, the cheapest price on any model of iPhone in Canada be found with Fido.
Why we love it: Fido allows you to grab an iPhone with a low one-time payment. While other carriers offer the same phone for over $20/month, we recommend paying outright if you can so you can save money in the long run.
Plans with Bell, Rogers and TELUS
As the three major national carriers, Bell, Rogers and Telus compete with each other in the cable TV, home internet, and mobile industries. Tight competition means that almost all plans offer the same features and price no matter which carrier you go with.
All of the iPhone SE (2022) plans from the Big Three are more expensive than Fido's option, but they also provide you with 5G connectivity and the options for more premium features on your plans.
Plans with Fido, Koodo and Virgin Mobile
Just as the three major carriers compete directly with each other, their flanker brands also adjust features and plans so they are all priced the same.
All three brands offer tiered pricing. Fido and Virgin plans increase by $10 to $30 depending on how much you want to save up front. Koodo offers a Tab which lets you separate the plan and how much you owe on the phone.

Regional Carriers: SaskTel, Freedom Mobile, and Videotron
Regional carriers provide lower rates to specific provinces and areas. SaskTel has national coverage you can only sign up if you live in Saskatchewan. Quebec has Videotron, while Freedom Mobile is limited to the major cities across Ontario, BC and Alberta. All three carriers offer low prices and great plans that include national coverage.
It's worth noting that the national carriers also feature low-price plans exclusive to some provinces. Read more about them with our Best Cell Phone Deals in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Quebec.
