This package provides 100Mbps downloads and 30Mbps uploads, speeds fast enough to accommodate a household of Zoom meetings and Netflix marathons. We also like Koodo doesn’t lock you into a monthly contract. In fact, if you’re not happy with the service in the first 30 days you can cancel your plan and get your money back, no questions asked.

If you’re looking for basic connectivity for simple tasks like browsing the web, checking your email, or posting on Facebook, there are cheaper options available from budget providers like Diallog and TekSavvy. They’re much slower than this solid Koodo option, but basic web browsing doesn’t require a high-speed connection—and you shouldn’t be paying for something you won’t use.

You can find plans from Bell, Rogers, and Telus that promise even faster speeds, but 1Gbps is the fastest most home routers can handle.

One potential downside to Koodo’s plans is DIY installation.
