As we've previously mentioned, Samsung is holding a somewhat unexpected event on May 24th. Now, Engadget is reporting that they've been invited to a Windows Phone 7 event on the very same day for the launch of Windows Phone 7.5 (currently codenamed Mango).

It could be entirely coincidental, but this could mean that Samsung will be announcing a new Samsung Windows Phone handset running on Windows Phone 7.5.

Windows Phone 7.5 is said to bring quite a few improvements, such as Turn by Turn navigation, Bing Vision, a better browser and Shazam. If you want to know more you can check out the upgrades in more detail here.

I guess for now it's all speculation, but we just thought we'd give you one more thing to think about. At least until May 24th comes around and we finally find out what all the fuss is about.
