The Motorola MOTOLUXE has been making an appearance at CES in Vegas. Running Android Gingerbread 2.3.7, the MOTOLUXE seems to be a low high-end or high mid-range device coming soon from Motorola.
There’s an 8MP camera, a front-facing VGA camera, a 4.0 inch 854x480 display and the Motoswitch 2.0 user interface (UI). The whole package has a profile of under 10mm, so it should fit nicely in the pocket.
Much like the Motorola DEFY MINI, the MOTOLUXE is heading to Europe, China and Latin America with no mention of the USA. Other countries like Australia and NZ are likely to see a later MOTOLUXE release, if Motorola’s past patterns are anything to go by.
Basically this just looks like a solid smartphone that isn’t aiming for the stars. Hopefully its price-point will reflect its hardware, but we won’t know that until closer to the release date.
