Samsung could be ready to flex its display technology advantage, with rumours of a limited edition Galaxy Note 3 in the works, complete with a bendable OLED screen.
If true, this would be the first time we'll have seen a device with this kind of technology available commericially, though prototypes have been circulating for quite some time.
In fact, Samsung brought one to the stage during its keynote event this year at CES in Las Vegas. Dubbing the tech 'YOUM', Samsung showed an OLED screen on a plastic sheet that could be bent in half, and a prototype handset which had the screen curving around the edge of the phone.
As you might suspect, a limited edition Note 3 with this level of innovation isn't going to go cheap. There is no official word on what a bendable OLED screen might cost, but expect it to the cost to be in vicinity of a limb, either an arm or a leg.
