The Rogers Roam Like Home (RLH) service has been expanded to include Asia, as well as limited coverage in the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. Previously, no locations in these regions were supported.
RLH allows Rogers customers on Share Everything plans to use their regular monthly plan allocations (calls, texts, data) while in partnered countries, without paying exorbitant pay-per-use roaming fees, and without the need to buy a separate Travel Pack.
The service kicks in automatically when you use your phone in a partnered location. The moment you do, you are charged $10 (or $5 if you are in the US, US Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico), at which point you gain access to your plan. This $10 fee gives you access for a full 24 hours, after which you’re cut back off.
After 24 hours, any further payment is paused until you use your phone again. At that point, you’re charged again and another period of a day is activated.
The maximum you can spend in a single month with RLH charges is $100 (or $50 in the US, US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico) meaning any usage after more than 10 days within a billing month is essentially free.
Service quality will depend on the network infrastructure in your location. 4G LTE will be available where possible, but it stands to region that Rogers must work within the limitations of any partnered network.
