7-Eleven’s SpeakOut Wireless has added a new $40 value plan to its lineup. The plan is talk & text-only (no data), but offers a full 1000 local minutes and unlimited texts. This is a great option for anyone with an older style ‘non-smartphone’, or that is happy to rely solely on WiFi in order to save a few bucks.
To celebrate, sign up to this plan before Feb 29 and can get $5 off your monthly fee. The reduced price of $35 per month will continue to be the monthly fee for as long as your value plan is active.
You can also get $5 off the $55 value plan (for a reduced price of $50 per month), which has the same 1000 minutes and unlimited text, but also comes with 1GB of data. The same end date of Feb 29 applies, and the reduced price will continue to be your monthly charge for as long as the plan is active.
The $5 savings is applied by adding $5 credit to your SpeakOut Wireless account immediately upon activation of either value plan. This has no monetary cash value, but can be used to discount your next bill. It’s not quite as good as simply charging $5 less, as if you ever decide to leave SpeakOut you’ll have $5 unused credit left behind, but it’s still a nice discount if you’re planning on sticking around for a while.
