When the Galaxy Note 2 hit shelves and websites back in August, only the 32GB model made its way to Canadian buyers. Now, Rogers has surreptitiously added the 64GB version to its line-up of phone plans. So far, Rogers appears to be the only carrier to have done so.
Other than having double the internal storage, there’s absolutely no physical difference between the two variants. Both come in the same colours (Titanium and Black), have the same design, and boast the same powerful hardware. Neither has a microSD port for expandable storage, which makes the larger-storage variant even more valuable, given that 32GB just isn’t enough for some users.
As for pricing, the 64GB model comes in at $439.99 on a two year Rogers contract; that’s $80 more than the up-front cost of $359.99 for the 32GB variant.
Interestingly, the un-subsidized no-contract price of the 64GB version is $859.99; only $10 more than the 32GB model. If you’re buying this phone outright, there’s really no reason to go for the 32GB version.
