---|---|---|---|
Cable Q120 | Quebec | 120Mbps | $60/month |
Cable 100 | Ontario | 100Mbps | $45/month |

Cable 300 | Ontario | 300Mbps | $75/month |
Best Telcan plan
in Quebec
Cable Q120 | $60/month
- Fast download speeds
- Cheap monthly payment
- Month-to-month contracts
- No fibre option
- Limited to Quebec
The best Telcan home internet plan in Quebec is the Cable Q120, which features 120Mbps downloads, 15Mbps uploads, and unlimited data for $60/month. The plan is more than fast enough for most families, accommodating 2-4 people browsing the web, streaming movies, and playing online games. In fact, it’s over two times as fast as the Canadian government’s definition of a “good internet speed.”
While there are some ISPs in Quebec with cheaper pricetags, we like that Telcan’s plans are straightforward. Unlike most other providers, the price Telcan advertises won’t suddenly spike after a few months of service. In addition, its month-to-month structure ensures you won’t get stuck with a plan you don’t like.

Best Telcan plan
in Ontario
Cable 100 | $45/month
- Unlimited data
- Cheap monthly payment
- Fast upload speeds
- No fibre option
- Limited to Ontario
The best Telcan plan in Ontario is the Cable 100, which offers 100Mbps downloads, 30Mbps uploads, and unlimited data for just $45/month. Some might note that the plan is significantly slower than Bell’s fastest plan in the province, the ridiculously speedy Gigabit Fibe 8.0, and only a third as fast as Telcan’s fastest plan, the Cable 300 plan. But faster isn’t always better; in fact, most household routers can’t offer speeds above 1Gbps, even if their ISP advertises it.
That’s why we think the Cable 100 is the best Telcan plan in Ontario. Its 100Mbps downloads and 30Mbps uploads are more than fast enough to handle a household of normal internet users and its price is more affordable than many comparable plans, especially considering Telcan won’t lock you into a two-year contract.

DSL 50 | $42/month
- 24/7 customer service
- Available in both Quebec and Ontario
- Average download and upload speed
If you’re looking for a basic home internet plan, then Telcan’s DSL 50 is a great option, with 50Mbps downloads, 10Mbps uploads, and unlimited data for $42/month. Unlike the other Telcan plans we mentioned, this one is available in both Quebec and Ontario for the same low price.
All Telcan plans also come with 24/7 customer service, ensuring you’ll be able to talk to an actual human if you’re having difficulties with your internet connection. If you’ve got a basic issue and don’t feel like hopping on the phone, you can also use the chat function on the Telcan website.
View planBest premium Telcan plan
Cable 300 | $75/month
- High-speed downloads
- Flat price
- Expensive monthly payment
- Only available in Ontario
The fastest Telcan home internet plan is the Cable 300, which offers 300Mbps downloads, 30Mbps uploads, and unlimited data for $75/month. 300Mbps is fast enough to ensure your video-conferencing and multiplayer gaming experiences won’t experience any latency issues, commonly referred to as “lag.”
While $75/month is more expensive than comparable plans in Ontario, like Virgin Plus’ 300Mbps plan or Diallog’s Cable Extreme, it’s important to look at the fine-print. Both of those plans, along with many others in Ontario, include price hikes after a few months of service, with monthly payments sometimes doubling.
Telcan’s plans are month-to-month, so they don’t include those kinds of price hikes. The $75/month may seem like a steeper payment, but it’s not one you’ll see double a few months into your contract…because you won’t be committed to a contract. If you don’t like Telcan’s service, you can simply find a cheaper ISP.
View planMethodology: How WhistleOut rates internet plans
WhistleOut evaluates internet plans based on the following criteria:
- Price & value: Not all cheap plans are “bad,” and not all expensive plans are worth it. We look at everything a plan includes and compare it both to other plans from the same provider, as well as similar plans from competitors in the market, to determine whether the value is consistent with the price.
- Speeds & data: Faster upload and download speeds usually mean a better user experience, but not every household needs the fastest plan available. Additionally, the more guaranteed high-speed data the plan includes, the better the plan—but there’s also usually a limit to how much you actually need, and we ensure that you’re not overpaying for services or data that will go unused.
- Coverage & network reliability: The breadth of an ISP’s network determines your reception and service. We value ISPs with large coverage maps who can provide quality internet to more Canadians.
- Plan extras and perks: In addition to the basics—speeds and data—some plans throw in freebies like modems, installation, entertainment subscriptions, or service discounts.
Our internet experts leveraged proprietary data and real-world customer feedback to evaluate Telcan internet, analyzing their coverage, cost, and plan options. We considered plan-specific elements, including perks, premium data allowances, and upload/download speeds. After performing extensive research, we selected the best plans for average consumers in both Ontario and Quebec.
